Who we are
Gremlin Hunter ("Gremlin") is provided by DruOps Garage Consulting Ltd, a company registered in England and Wales (number 16865891), 3rd Floor, 86-90 Paul Street, London, England, United Kingdom, EC2A 4NE ("DruOps", "we"). Who can use it
You must be 18 or over and working as, or training as, a vehicle technician. Your account is for you only. Don't share your password or invite code.
What Gremlin is
Gremlin gives AI-generated suggestions: likely causes, test steps, specs and draft notes. It can be wrong. It is not a replacement for your training, your judgement, proper test equipment or manufacturer repair data.
Your responsibility
You stay responsible for every diagnosis and repair. Always verify a fault before fitting parts. Follow manufacturer procedures and safe working practice, especially for high-voltage (EV and hybrid) systems, airbags and SRS, brakes, steering and fuel systems. Only work on high-voltage systems if you hold the right qualification.
Subscription
- Price: £7.50 a week, including VAT, billed weekly in advance to your card through Stripe.
- Free trial: new subscribers get 5 days free. We take your card details at the start but charge nothing during the trial. We email you a reminder before the trial ends. If you don't cancel before it ends, your first payment is taken that day. One free trial per person.
- Founding price: people who tested Gremlin before launch pay £5.00 a week (including VAT) for their first 12 months of subscription. After that the price becomes the standard weekly price; we'll email you before it changes.
- Renewal: your subscription renews automatically every week, on the same day, until you cancel.
- Cancelling: cancel any time in the app or on the website at Account → Cancel subscription. You keep access until the end of the week you've already paid for, and you won't be charged again. Cancelling during the free trial ends it straight away with nothing to pay.
- Your 14-day right to cancel: you can cancel within 14 days of starting your subscription without giving a reason. When you subscribe you ask us to start straight away, so if you cancel within those 14 days after a payment has been taken we will refund the part of that week you haven't used. Cancelling in the app during this time does this automatically; you can also email us.
- Fair use: your subscription includes up to 50 new diagnoses each calendar month. Test guides, follow-ups and questions on those jobs aren't counted. Each account also has a monthly limit on AI usage to stop runaway costs; normal use stays well within it. If you reach a limit we'll tell you in the app, and it resets on the 1st of the month.
- Failed payments: if a payment fails, Stripe tries again over the following days. Gremlin keeps working for 3 days; after that your account becomes read-only (you can still see your jobs) until the payment goes through or you cancel.
- Price changes: we'll give you at least 30 days' notice by email of any price change. If you don't want to pay the new price you can cancel before it applies.
- Changes to Gremlin: we keep improving Gremlin and may change features. If we make a change that makes it significantly worse for you, you can cancel and we'll refund any unused part of the week.
Trial testers
If DruOps gave you an invite code, you may have free access for a period we tell you about. We'll give you notice before it ends. To carry on after that, you'll need a subscription at the founding price.
Feedback and the fix log
When you tell Gremlin what fixed a job, DruOps may use that information, without personal details, to improve Gremlin and to show other users "Seen before" matches on similar jobs.
Ending your account
You can delete your account at any time from Account → Delete my account, or at gremlin-six.vercel.app/delete-account. We may suspend an account that is misused (for example shared, used to abuse the service, or used by someone under 18), and will tell you why.
Liability
We provide Gremlin with reasonable care and skill. Because Gremlin's suggestions can be wrong and you make the final decision, we are not liable for loss or damage caused by relying on a suggestion without verifying it, or for loss of business or profit. Nothing in these terms limits liability for death or personal injury caused by our negligence, for fraud, or any other liability that can't be limited by law, and nothing affects your legal rights as a consumer.
The law
These terms are governed by the law of England and Wales. If you live elsewhere in the UK, you can also bring proceedings where you live.
